Pending Claims - Advanced Claim Scrubber & Editing Claims
ChiroSpring Pro+ has an Advanced Claim Scrubber that will help help identify claim errors so you can fix before submitting.
If you want to upgrade from Pro to Pro+ to get our advanced claim scrubber and Billing AI Assistant, please go to SETTINGS-SUBSCRIPTION-SELECT PRO+ AND THEN APPLY PLAN IN TOP/RIGHT.
Using Advanced Claim Scrubber
Navigate to Billing/Pending Claims. You will see two types of errors notated with icons.
- Fatal Errors - Almost certain this will reject if you send
- Warnings - Very high chance this will reject if you send
Warning
The yellow ! icon represents a claim with a warning. This indicates there is a high probability this claim will reject but it is not certain.
Fatal Error
The Red X symbol indicates a claim with a Fatal Error. This means the claim will almost certainly reject as it is missing required information.
Sometimes the error must be fixed by modifying insured demographics, provider demographics, network reimbursement page and other clinic settings. This will fix not only this claim but other claims that might be also in the Pending Claim folder. For the remaining errors, edit the claim and click on the warning notices in the upper right hand corner of the claim. These warnings will give you directions on how to correct the errors and also an indication that errors are no longer detected when the orange and red icons disappear. Remember to save both procedure level changes and the claim itself after making any modifications.
Once the claim has been submitted to ChiroSpring, you cannot edit the procedures. This is a security measure for the cases when the users edited the procedure information while they were submitted for processing and resulted in data discrepancy.
If you want to edit a claim that you have already submitted follow these steps.
- Edit the claim
- Resave the claim (click green save button)
This action will move the claim back to the pending folder, and then you will be able to edit your procedures information as usual.
