How to delete a patient account

If you created a duplicate patient or a patient in error and need to delete the patient, please follow these steps:

*Please note that patient data such as treatment notes, forms, claims, and/or payments need to be erased before the account can be deleted. You can do so by navigating through the patients data and deleting.


  1. Search for the Patient: Locate the patient in ChiroSpring by using the search function.
  2. Access Billing Dashboard: Go to the patient's Billing Dashboard by selecting the patient menu in the upper right corner.
  3. Edit Demographic Information: Change the first name to "Delete" and the last name to "Delete" to make it easier to find and delete the correct account.
  4. Request Account Deletion: Use the left side menu to navigate to Service Center > New Request, and choose Patient Account Deletion.

When you request the deletion- the system will either delete the account, or display a popup indicating that it couldn't delete the account meaning there is probably still data in their patient file that needs to be removed.
