What Type of Computer and Internet Do You Need for ChiroSpring?
ChiroSpring is a fully cloud-based platform, which means you don’t need expensive hardware, in-office servers, or complicated installations to run your clinic efficiently.
In fact, most clinics that switch to ChiroSpring do not need to purchase new devices.
Computer & Device Requirements
If your computer can run the most recent version of a modern web browser, it can run ChiroSpring.
That’s it.
Many clinics use:
- A front desk computer with a large monitor
- Laptops
- Touchscreen devices
- iPads and tablets
- Smartphones
Because ChiroSpring runs in your web browser, you are not tied to a specific device. Providers often use whatever device they prefer.
There is:
- No software to download
- No software to install
- No software to back up
- No server required in your clinic
- No network infrastructure to manage
If your clinic loses power, you can still access ChiroSpring using a battery-powered device and a cellular hotspot. Your data remains accessible because it is securely stored in the cloud.
Internet Requirements (ISP)
Since ChiroSpring is cloud-based, your internet connection matters more than your hardware.
We recommend:
- Download speed: 50 Mbps
- Upload speed: 10 Mbps
- Ping: 5 ms
To check your current speeds, run a test at:
If your speeds fall below these recommendations, contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) to discuss upgrading your plan.
Most clinics find that once they move to ChiroSpring, they experience fast and reliable performance without additional hardware investments.
What Is Cloud-Based Software?
Cloud-based software allows users to access applications that run on shared servers via the internet. These servers provide processing power, memory, and storage remotely, so you don’t have to maintain them in your office.
This delivery model is commonly referred to as:
Software as a Service (SaaS)
ChiroSpring is both:
- A SaaS provider
- A Billing Services as a Service (BSaaS) provider
How to Tell If Software Is Truly Cloud-Based
Ask the vendor one simple question:
“Do I need to download any software from you?”
If the answer is yes, it is not truly cloud-based.
Some systems claim to be cloud-based because they connect to the internet. However, if they require installation, servers, or special software to function, they do not offer the full advantages of true cloud architecture.
ChiroSpring is fully cloud-based. You simply log in through a web browser.
Recommended Browsers
ChiroSpring works across common modern browsers, including:
- Google Chrome (preferred)
- Microsoft Edge
- Firefox
- Safari
- Opera
- Internet Explorer 10 and 11
While many combinations of devices and browsers will work, not all devices, operating systems, and browser versions perform equally. For the best experience:
- Use Google Chrome
- Enable automatic browser updates
- Enable automatic operating system updates
- Maintain strong virus protection
- Clear your browser cache if something appears incorrect after an update
Cloud software occasionally requires cache clearing after updates. If something still looks “off” after clearing your cache:
- Take a screenshot
-
Click the red Help button
Email support with:
- A description of the issue
- The keystrokes used to get there
- The screenshot
If you choose to use a browser other than Chrome, you may experience more issues. If that happens, notify us so our IT team can investigate.

Or set it as the startup page:

That way staff aren’t Googling your own login page every morning like it’s a mystery treasure hunt.
Opening Multiple Tabs
You can log in to ChiroSpring in multiple tabs if you need to toggle between pages.
Some areas of the platform include built-in new-tab functionality. For example, in the Pending Claim folder:
- Hover over the Edit button
- Click the tab icon that appears
- The system will open that page in a second tab
If the new tab icon does not work, check your pop-up settings:
Google Chrome → 3 dots (top right) → Settings → Site Settings → Pop-ups and redirects → ehr.clinicdr.com → Allow
Working With Multiple Clinics and Tabs
Can I Open Two Practice Locations (in Seperate 360 Databases) in the Same Browser?
No. You cannot open two different practice locations within the same web browser.
However, you can:

- Open another location in Microsoft Edge
Using separate browsers allows you to work in both locations simultaneously.
Hiding the Browser Header
You can hide the browser header and tabs by clicking the icon at the top of the page.
- Click the same icon
- Or press the Esc key
