Superbills - Create for Your Patients

In this article we will show you how to create a superbill for your patients. Whether for today's visit, or even a past visit printing the superbill is a simple process.

Enable Superbill

  • First, you will need to enable the Superbill so that you can print it out at the Front Desk. To do this go to Settings/Billing/Default Statement.
  • Then toggle on the "Print 'Superbill w/Payment' in Front Desk" option. When this is toggled on, when you click the print icon (from the Front Desk) it will print the superbill.

On the Front Desk, once your patient has been moved to checkout (and there is a claim associated with the visit) you will see a print icon (see image below). When selected a superbill will generate.


Printing Past Superbills

If you ever need to print a superbill for a previous visit follow these steps.

  • Search for the patient in ChiroSpring at the top.
  • Mouse hover over the patient name (top right). Then select 'Statements'
  • In Statements, use the dropdown to select the superbill you want to print.
    • Superbill without payments
    • Superbill with payments

  • Next, select one or more visits using the check box.
  • Click 'Preview Statement'. This will generate the selected superbill(s) into a window (you must be using Google Chrome for this step to work).
  • Finally, click the print icon to print the superbill(s).

Below is a printed superbill with payments. As you can see, diagnosis and diagnosis pointing are present on the superbill which is often required by insurance.
