Attorney Report – Fresh New Look + Bulk Reconciliation
The Attorney Report got a major upgrade and not just on the surface. PI reconciliation has leveled up.
What's New:
Case Type Logic & Reporting Enhancements
- Claim counts are now grouped by unique claims per case type, improving reporting accuracy across Employment, Auto Accident, and Other Accident categories.
- Dynamic totals recalculate in real time when filters are applied, ensuring summary metrics only reflect what’s visible.
- Subtotals are now displayed at the bottom of each case type section, giving a clearer breakdown for reconciliation.
Case Status/Memo Tracking
Quickly add case statuses directly from the Attorney Report. No need to navigate away stay in flow while keeping cases organized and up to date.
Emailing
Need to send updates? Now you can email the patient and/or attorney on file directly from the report. Quick, trackable, and in context.
Bulk Reconciliation
Apply payments and write-offs across all claims for a selected case type at once. No need to open each claim individually.
Payment Distribution Rules
Choose Auto Apply to distribute funds based on oldest, newest, highest, or lowest balance first or switch to Manual Apply for full control.
Write-Off Rules
If a balance remains after payment, choose to write it off using a designated reason (such as Clinic Deal or Owner Directed Write-Off), or leave the balance in place.
Unapplied Payment Handling
If the payment amount exceeds the total balance, choose whether to insert the excess as an unapplied payment or prevent overpayment entirely.
Balance Summary
As you apply payments or write-offs, see real-time updates to the initial balance, applied payment, remaining balance, write-off amount, and unapplied amount all in one view.
Whether you're reconciling large PI cases or settling a stack of claims with one attorney this update gives you more flexibility, less manual work, and better control.
Improved Payment / Write-Off in Claim History
The Claim History screen now includes a redesigned Add Payment and Write-Off experience. This update replaces the old popup used in claim history.
Here’s what’s new:
- Choose Auto Apply or Manual Apply
- Set payment distribution rules like:
- Apply to oldest, newest, highest, or lowest balance first
- Insert as unapplied payment
- Control write-off behavior with real-time calculations
- Select write-off reasons, or choose not to write off the remaining balance at all.
- View full service breakdowns, balances, and adjustments at a glance
📌Note: The standard "Add Payment" screen seen elsewhere (like from a patient menu) remains unchanged.
