The New Payments Experience in ChiroSpring 360

Coming soon — We’ve redesigned the Payments window to make it easier to understand, track, and manage patient payments. 

This update introduces Payment Buckets, improved visibility into payment activity, and streamlined workflows for applying and managing payments. 

Here’s the new payment window at a glance: 

Payment Buckets 

The biggest change in this update is the introduction of Payment Buckets: 

Payment Buckets allow you to organize funds based on their purpose, such as: 

• General (unapplied payments not associated with a membership or treatment plan) 
• Membership 

• Treatment Plan 

This makes it easier to understand where funds belong and how they can be used. 

You can now take a Membership or Treatment Plan payment directly from the Add Payment window. Previously these payments could only be taken during setup of the plan. 

Clearer Payment History 

One major improvement is how applied payments are now displayed. 

Previously, when a portion of a payment was reallocated or applied to multiple items, each portion appeared as a separate line in Payment History. This made it difficult to see where the original payment came from. 

Now, the applied amounts remain connected to the original payment. 

When part of a payment is applied: 

• It stays grouped under the original payment  
• You can expand the payment to view its allocations  
• The full payment story stays in one place  

This creates a cleaner, easier-to-follow payment history. 

Easier Payment Management 

We've simplified common payment workflows, including: 

• Applying payments 
• Reapplying payments 
• Bulk Apply Payments 
• Bulk Write-Offs

These updates make everyday payment tasks faster and easier for both front desk and billing teams. 

One of the most common pieces of feedback we’ve received is that payments can be difficult to follow—especially when funds are partially applied or unapplied. 

This update was designed to provide better visibility, clearer payment tracking, and a more intuitive experience throughout the payment process.
