Using The Front Desk

ChiroSpring's Front Desk capability provides a virtual flow of your patient journey from the check-in to the checkout process.  The video below will walk you through the best ways to utilize our Front Desk feature.  

Using The Front Desk - Video

ChiroSpring provides a virtual front desk that allows you to manage the workflow for your patients.  See who has not arrived, who’s checked in, as well as who has checked out. 

To check in a patient, click the three dots next to their name and mark "arrived" (or drag and drop them to the "checked-in" column). Patients can also be checked in automatically through the kiosk.

Once checked in, click the Note icon (empty circle bubble).  This will let you choose which treatment note template you want to use. Remember, you can customize which templates will be shown here (EHR Menu list matches Front Desk).

What's great is you can always come back and edit your note.  By clicking a Note "bubble" that is green (which means the note was started), you are presented with an option to edit that note and/or fee slip.  

Once you have completed your note and fee slip, you may check out the patient.  To check out your patient, select the "checkout" icon.  This will open up the Cash Register which allows you to take payment, reschedule the patient, and even send a 5-star review request (requires GrowthHub).



When a patient has been checked out, they will reside in one of two columns:

- Checked out

- Checked out with a claim

These columns let you review which patients may have been checked out where the provider forgot to create a claim.  


Of note, we show the "Payment Checkout" icon no matter what column the patient is in. This is beneficial for patients that may pay before their visit.


Front Desk - Filters


The Front Desk also provides great filtering options. 

-Type a patient name at the top to quickly find that patient. 

-Use the provider drop-down at the top to see only the provider’s patients you want to see. 

-Click back to any previous day to see the front desk for that day (e.g. which patients were never checked out or claims not created).

Check Out Screen - Cash Register

With the Checkout Screen (Cash Register), you can see what the patient owes (including past visits), determine if the patient has another appointment or needs to be scheduled, take payment, and offer a 5-star review request (GrowthHub)


Below, you can see our patient does not have a next appointment scheduled. Using the icons, you can schedule their next appointment directly from checkout:

Claims and Products

Claims and products are all displayed during checkout. You may add a new claim or product here as well by clicking the green + symbol.


To take payment on a claim or product, simply "check" its corresponding checkbox.

Add Products

Need to add product sale? No problem. The new Checkout Screen allows you to add products and collect total payments for both products and claims—all in one screen.

Our system identifies unapplied payments and provides you with the option to use and auto-apply these funds to relevant claims:


Request Patient Review

Easily request patient reviews to amplify your practice's online presence.

Accept Payments

The enhanced Checkout Screen empowers you to accept payments for selected claims and products. Making it quick and efficient for both you and your patients. *Note: You can edit the payment amount after selecting the desired claim/product checkbox on the left as shown below:
