Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): How to Enable It
One password just doesn’t cut it anymore. That’s where 2FA comes in — adding an extra layer of security to make sure it’s really you logging in.
Where to Find It
- Go to User & Rooms.
- Select the User you want to secure.
- Scroll to the Two-Factor Authentication section.
You’ll see this option:

From here, you can choose your preferred method:
📱 Option 1: Authenticator App
Best for tech-savvy users or anyone already using an app like Google Authenticator, Authy, or Microsoft Authenticator.
- Click Enable Authenticator.
- Scan the QR code with your app.
- Enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator.
- Click Enable.

📲 Option 2: SMS
Good option if you prefer text messages.
- Click Enable SMS.
- Enter your phone number.
- Click Send SMS Code.
- Enter the code you receive.
- Click Enable.

2FA Report
Need to know who’s enrolled? A new 2FA Report is available to track which users have 2FA enabled and how (SMS or Authenticator). Perfect for compliance or peace of mind.

Once 2FA is enabled, you will see this option during your ChiroSpring log in. See below example.
Of note, there is a check box option if you do not want to make 2FA required for this device for the next 30 days.

What is 2FA and why are we requiring it?
2FA (Two-Factor Authentication) adds a second layer of security to protect your clinic’s data and your login. It requires something you know (your password) and something you have (your phone or app).
When will I be required to set up 2FA?
You’ll begin seeing a setup screen during login over the next 90 days. Once the deadline hits, 2FA will be required to access your account.
What 2FA options are available?
- 📱 Authenticator App (Recommended) – Use apps like Google Authenticator or Authy.
- 📲 Text Message (SMS) – Receive a code via text.
