Booking Confirmations - Options and Differences

ChiroSpring provides two different types of booking confirmations for patients booking appointments.

  • Online Booking - Post-booking Confirmation
  • Scheduler - Post-booking Confirmation

From their names, you can know that one applies only to when patients book an appointment online while the other applies only to when a patient is booked into the ChiroSpring scheduler (by you).

Where Are The Settings Located For Booking Confirmations?

You will find the booking confirmation settings under your Settings > Communication > Workflow Rules page. Here you can edit your Online Booking Confirmations.

Online Booking - Post-booking Confirmation

SETTINGS > COMMUNICATION > WORKFLOW RULES > ONLINE SCHEDULER

If your Online Booking Confirmation is toggled ON, a confirmation message will automatically be sent after the patient books an appointment online. See the example below.

Scheduler - Post-booking Confirmation (In House Scheduling Not Online Scheduling)

The Scheduler - Post-booking Confirmation requires GrowthHub Pro as this feature is part of our Enhanced Reminders package. The Post-booking Confirmation is only sent to patients for appointments that were created by YOU (a ChiroSpring user) using the ChiroSpring Scheduler. When a patient books an appointment online they will not receive this message.


This setting can be enabled and edited in SETTINGS > COMMUNICATION> WORKFLOW RULES > GROWTHHUB.

ChiroSpring also supports custom booking confirmation messages based on the Appointment Category. As an example, you might want to send a message to "bring your insurance card" for a "New Patient Visit". For more information on this feature CLICK HERE.


Appointment Requests Confirmation

For users who do not have Online Scheduling (part of GrowthHub) you may opt to use ChiroSpring's Appointment Request feature. This provides a booking link for your website but does not sync back to the ChiroSpring scheduler. This is why we call them "Requests" vs. "Online Booking". If you are using Online Scheduling you will most likely not want to use the appointment request feature.


To find the Appointment Request URL (to add to your website) go to SETTINGS > COMMUNICATION > COMMUNICATION DATA > ONLINE BOOKING.


Of note, the Appointment Request Confirmation message cannot be customized. It follows a set template. This message is sent to your patient after you approve the request. This step is done on the ChiroSpring Dashboard.
