Booking Confirmations - Options and Differences
online booking confirmation and the post booking confirmation are 2 different things.
The online booking confirmation message from the Online Scheduler tab in the Work Flow Rules will automatically be sent after the patient books his appointment online.
The post booking confirmation message from the Growth Hub tab in the Work Flow Rules will be sent only if the provider enables the 'Send Confirmation' for that specific category.
- the online scheduler confirmation, if it is ON but the appointment categories "confirmation" are NOT toggled on, the system will still send a confirmation for online bookings since the online scheduler is ON- is that correct? so essentially, online scheduler confirmation overrides appt category confirmation toggle?
R: Appt category confirmation toggle does not apply to patients online bookings. The only thing that needs to be turned on for the patients to receive that message after booking is the online booking confirmation.
- and for the post-booking confirmation under GrowthHub, if it is on in the Workflow rules and the appointment category, then a confirmation will be sent even in the case the clinic books the patient in-house? (so not using the online scheduler)
R: Yes, you are correct here. The post-booking confirmation is only for the 'in-house' scheduling.
