PMR with cash register

Talk about a major feature.  ChiroSpring can now estimate patient member responsibility for a patient visit.  And we’ve built a cash register that tells you how much to collect.  It’s super slick.  Also do things like reschedule appointments, take payment, or even send a 5-star patient review request, all from the cash register.  It’s super awesome!

You will also see a revamped claims history that breaks down what the insurance owes and what the patient owes. The patient owes is further broken down into copay, coinsurance, and deductible. To start using PMR make sure you set the procedure allowances for your insurance carriers. This can be done under billing/third party payers. Click the “configure” procedure allowances button at the top. This lets you set the allowed amounts for your services.

Room flow (virtual rooms) on front desk

You requested and we have delivered. Now you can create your own custom rooms that will appear on the front desk. Move one or multiple patients into any room using drag-and-drop. Not only is it super slick, but it’s also a way to keep your providers knowing which patients are in a given room.

Patient Reminders (Stop Managers)

We’ve always had patient reminders built into ChiroSpring. However, we knew they could be better. That’s why we have developed a fully robust reminders system (some call Stop Managers). Our new reminders build from the same patient reminders you use now. However, you can now set repeat events and have them trigger at new appointment, check-in, treatment note, treatment dashboard or checkout. Reminders can be date based or encounter number based as well. You will also see a new bell icon next to your patient. When this appears, it means your patient has an overdue reminder. Just click the bell icon to see which reminder(s) are overdue.

Fee Slip in sync with claim

The fee slip has always created the claim.  Editing the fee slip would push those changes into the claim.  However, the issue was that if you corrected the claim, it would not correct the corresponding fee slip.  This means the next DITTO of fee slip would not contain those important edits.

We have solved this issue. Now you can freely edit the fee slip or claim at any time.Any changes to one will always go into the other.

New Online Scheduler

Buzz, your girlfriend, WOOF!

Yes, we knew our online scheduler worked. But we also knew it needed a heavy face lift. Enjoy peace of mind knowing that your patients are now going to LOVE booking appointments! The UI has been completely rethought. Now the patients see a calendar with open appointments before having to enter their information.

Make sure you setup up your Time Blocks as they work with online scheduling.  We’ve also created the ability to assign providers to visit types. This ensures with both front desk scheduling, and online scheduling, only appropriate visit types (per that provider) can be used.  As an example, you may not want a massage therapy visit being scheduled under a chiropractor.  Set these up in Settings/Scheduler &Appointments.

Custom procedures - create your own CPT codes

It’s time to jump and do a flip!  This feature may seem small, but it’s actually HUGE. The ability to create any procedure code you want can do wonders in simplifying a practice.  Perhaps you want to create a code for massage therapy and name it something like “Massage – 90 Minutes – Brooke”.  Well, now you can.

Make sure when you create your procedure codes that you add them to the correct category. As an example, if you create anew 98941 code, make sure you add it to the chiropractic category. We use the chiropractic and therapy categories with our PMR calculations. Codes not in those categories will of course not be used in calculating PMR.

Advanced ditto configuration improvements

We’ve had advanced ditto for a while in ChiroSpring.  However, there were a few things we knew could make it better.

For those who do not know what advanced ditto is, well, it will make your documentation and diagnosing/charging much faster.Advanced ditto configurations allow you to set which fields on a treatment note are pre-selected (think of having a note with WNL filled out automatically for you so you only need to check the ones that are not WNL). When you create a fee slipconfiguration, you can choose the charges and diagnosis. Perhaps there is a common set of charges and diagnosis that you use.  Now you can have them populate in a single click when doing the treatment note.

We’ve added two new buttons you will see when using the action button on your treatment note:

-      Clear note

-      Clear note & fee slip

This ensures when you use a configuration you can clear the table, so to say, before pushing your changes. If you choose not to clear, the configuration will add those changes to the existing treatment note, diagnosis, and procedures.

User earning tracking - how to pay your providers

Alright, it’s time to put the calculator away.  How are you paying your providers currently?  We’ve developed an amazing way to track user earnings and it’s super simple.

First, here is the problem we were trying to solve. Some wanted us to track user earnings based on the rendering provider. However, there are many cases when a charge will be added to the provider’s claim that should belong as earnings for another provider (common with therapy codes). To resolve this, we allow users the ability to set the “earning provider” at the charge level.

The software will automatically default the earning provider as the rendering provider. So, if that is the logic that works for you, then you are good to go.If you want to override the earning provider, just edit the claim. Then edit a single charge and select who you want the earning provider to be in the dropdown.

Now for the fun part.Run our User Earnings report to see exactly how much any provider has earned.

We hope you enjoy our new features. We work hard, FOR YOU, and want your practice to be a success. We would love if you would share us some 5-star love by clicking here.  It will take you less than 1 minute. 😉 Teamwork!

Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. We hope you and your practice continue growing in 2024.
